On Children in need day we raised £500 of which £250 is going to the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and £250 to Chrisites young oncology unit.
We had a visit from Humphrey Bear on the day and the children enjoyed it very much. We raised money by selling cakes, sweets, guess the cake, word searches and guess the weight of the stationary.
200 Years of Church School
We have been celebrating 200 years of church schools. Here is a slide show or our displays.

WHOLE SCHOOL ENRICHMENT HOUR!!!
On a Friday afternoon we now have a whole school enrichment hour. We try to encourage KS1 children to mix with KS2 children. The children have a choice of which activity they want to do which lasts between 4-6 weeks. Some of the activities include movie making, baking, puppet making and board games. We hope this will be on going as part of the curriculum.
NOVEMBER 18th
Children in Need Day
This is non-uniform wearing bright gaudy colours.
We ask for £1.00 per family donation, which will all be going to the children's hospital and young oncology unit Christies. The day will be fun packed with children and staff raising money. Various competitions and activities will be going on, guess the weight of the cake, word searches, how many items in a jar, cakes sales.
We hope to be raising lots of money on the day.
ECO
Mrs Grove is in the process of getting our 4th Eco flag. Mrs Grove and Mrs Reece have worked very hard to achieve this and we wish them every success.
Wednesday 23rd November
Mrs Grove is taking 2 children to Wigan Borough Eco-Schools Annual Celebration where they will be sharing Ideas. This is an all day event and lunch is provided. We hope Mrs Grove and the children have an eventful day.
